The Peace Mural is an organic developing project that continues to develop. In Washington DC, Huong invited several guest artists to work with her in a studio on the second floor, where several new elements of the Mural were created. One such new addition to the Mural was The Wall of Injustice, representing the Wall that divides Israel and Palestine. The Wall of Injustice is a fitting reminder of the current crisis in Gaza and the anguish of war in our midst.

I’m always frustrated when I hear people refer to and about “illegal aliens” with the attitude that they are somehow different in their hopes and desires from those of us born here. Can we not show compassion for people who risk so much for freedom and hope only to have what we by the luck of our birth? Freedom isn’t a commodity that is diminished when offered-it only becomes stronger in its resolve to prevail. –Beverley Cardona
