This is a very special evening at an affordable price, in the extraordinary venue of the Washington DC Peace Mural in Georgetown. We invite all citizens of the world who may be in DC for the historic inauguration of Barack Obama to join in solidarity as we celebrate a renewed hope for an emerging culture of peace based on justice, respect, dialogue and the practice of nonviolent methods to transform conflict.
Join with other peacemakers for a fun and celebratory evening with live entertainment, speakers, music, song, multi-media presentations, hors d'oeuvres, and open beer/wine/soda/juice bar; Entertainment will include the spirited music of Cyrille Verdeaux, Frances Key (descendant of Francis Scott Key) and other performers. All proceeds directly benefit the Peace Mural Foundation to underwrite costs of the Washington DC Exhibition and to support future showings of the Peace Mural in other venues. Please join in this festive evening around our shared vision for peace in our communities, our nation and across the globe.
