Concert: Celebrating OBAMA

Here's a great way to kick off Inauguration Week. Join us for this special concert with an Obama theme, co-sponsored with One Common Unity; Concert will feature RAS-D, a rising star out of Kingston, Jamaica, with a unique and creative style of reggae music which blends roots and culture that will leave you mesmerized, enchanted, and wanting more. Ras D will perform music from his new album, JAH Is A Melody, including "Peace Within Thy Walls" and "Pray For Obama" that will be getting rotation on WPFW 89.3 FM. More Info on Ras D. Other performances will include the world/rock music act Proper Skanks . The community organizations being focused on during this event will be Live Green and the Trail Of Dreams World Peace Walk. Plans also call for a live broadcast of the concert on WPFW 89.3 FM.

$15 Donation (Includes Admission to See the Peace Mural): Proceeds benefit Peace Mural Foundation and One Common Unity; Doors Open at 7:30pm; Performance begins at 8pm. All ages welcome. Children under 13 free.
